A very good stay overall. Friendly and helpful staff. It would be good to keep more than one iron handy for business trip customers. The food in the restaurant was nice and consistent. This is a no frills hotel which makes up in charm what it lacks in facilities.

Loved the vicinity and the vegetarian food . For caffeine lovers there is cafe along with the hotel. Although The hotel is located in town, their current location is quite , less of hustle & bustle. Huge parking space as well.

On a recent visit to Thimphu, I had booked, online, at Hotel Bhutan. It is a relatively new hotel, started in 2016, a rather small hotel. Location is ideal, just below the Royal Textile Academy(RTA), It is in the less noisy part of town, but within easy distance of city centre and the markets. It has a small cafe, which serves meals ( rather limited menu, butnadequate). The rooms are small, but neatly designed.Rooms do not have wardrobes Bath room is small but fully equipped. Shower cubicle is small, might be a bit uncomfortable for a large person. If you have more than one bag, it could be a problem in the room.. For a family, room would be small.Service is good, they accept credit cards.Overall a very good hotel, at a nice locality, at a reasonable cost.

Room tip: Try to take the road.side rooms, which have clear view. View from other side is blocked .

This is indeed one of the most satisfied hotel that I have stayed in any city so far. There are few which are really clean, hospitable and safe. I should say that this one of them. Reached this hotel sometime around 9:00 p.m. but to my surprise..we ahd a good reception and the rooms were ready and well kept. It is so near to the central shopping area which is about 15 mins walk and walking on the roads in Thimphu does'nt really bother you much as one can walk cooly with no mad traffic.
This truely one of the best Hotels I have stayed so far. Thanks to the management and I really had a wonderful stay.

Travel in a group of 17 people, this is a small and cosy hotel. Nice, clean and comfortable with good water pressure for a good shower. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel, it was just nice too. Nothing elaborate but just simple, mostly vegetables. Nice to have a cup of coffee and pastries sitting outside the cafe in a nice weather to chill..... what's not pleasant will be the room door... you just have to slam it to have it closed. If you don't, the door will not be closed entirely and that's how noisy that can be. We thought it's only our room door, but realise it happened to others too. So, put on your ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. Also, the room has no AC so for those travel during summer, it can be quite stuffy in the room. We kept our windows opened. Overall, the stay was pleasant.

Thank you for your review of our hotel. With global warming Thimphu is much hotter than usual. It's an emerging issue and we are working on it.
