The Villa Victoria
Reviewed 7 December 2017

From the moment we were met at the airport for a transfer to Villa Victoria we realised that we were going to experience an exceptional holiday.

The villa is delightful, not luxurious in the hotel sense but spacious, airy and charming. Our room was large, en-suite, scrupulously clean, thanks to Angelina, and well appointed with air conditioning. Angelina also did washing and ironing for a small consideration and, providing we bought the food, cooked breakfast. There is wifi throughout the house. The villa is usually let as a complete house but, as there were only two of us, other guests also stayed in the other rooms, which was fun and added to the holiday.

The secure garden is attractive with a pleasant pool and a barbecue area. It is looked after by Absolom, the caretaker, who we found to be most helpful and obliging.

It would be difficult to thank Bruce and Clive enough for all the care they put into making our stay a success. Visits to game parks, including Chobe; boat trips at supper time and in the early morning; advice as to the best time to visit the Falls; an artistic trip to paint pictures of elephants; the crocodile farm; the best places to eat - the list goes on! Nothing was too much trouble. A most enjoyable stay.

Room Tip: An ideal situation for family and friends.

Bruce and Clive offer an amazing space for the money. The house is gorgeous, peaceful and spacious, with five bedrooms and as many baths, a full kitchen, living room and deck, and a lovely pool. They are also the most wonderfully organized hosts and lovely people. We had a limited time to see Vic Falls, and when we arrived they had a full itinerary planned, reservations made for us based on our requests, and dinner and drink reservations for our first night in town. They made the trip easy, stress free and so much fun! I highly recommend this place over the overpriced hotels in the area.

I stayed in this Villa for one night with a group of friends. The house is amazing: five bedrooms, a big kitchen, a lot of common areas and places to relax - including a nice pool with a big garden. Everything was clean, and the decoration is beautiful.
The owners are super friendly and made our stay even more perfect. I just wished we could have stayed longer :)

Villa Victoria is now rented out as a house and is no longer a B&B. It has five bedrooms and four bathrooms. It easily accommodated our party of 4 adults and 5 children. It has been very tastefully furnished, is quiet, clean, comfortable and secure. The kids loved the pool which is well maintained. 10 minutes walk from the town centre. Great value compared to us all staying in a hotel. Any downsides? Mosquitos. Take some insect repellant. Thoroughly recommended.

If you're going to Vic Falls for the scenery, then this basic B&B is good value for the money. Nice room, fine breakfast, we stayed for two nights, nothing to complain about. Walking distance to the falls. Took a swim in the pool before going to the airport.
Neighbouring an agency where you can arrange your transfers, e g to the airport, to Victoria Falls Hotel for high tea, to the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge for a drink in the Buffalo Bar, viewing the sunset over the waterhole in front of the lodge.
