From the moment we arrived attention was lavished upon us. Drinks on the veranda and a personal check in on the porch was quite relaxing. A boutique hotel with very private rooms, lavish bath facilities, swimming pool, full service dinning and bar service. They also have a delightful small gift shop with products that are unique and indigenous to Zimbabwe. We enjoyed the beautiful artistic appointments in the main house and the dining areas. We highly recommend this spot for it’s close proximately to the village and the Falls.

We spent 2 nights in Batonka Guest Lodge in course of our Safari trip to Zimbabwe and Botswana.
From the very warm welcome to the last chat before our departure everything was perfect. The staff takes note of every activity each guest has planned and is always helpful in arranging such. On our first morning we had a pickup at 6:30, so they arranged a packed breakfast to take with us since breakfast starts at 7.
The recommendations turned out great as well.

Will definitely recommend this place to everyone!

This is a delightful small boutique inn with two lovely gardens and pools, great service, great food (we had lunch, dinner and breakfast), and friendly and helpful service -- pretty much perfect. Our room was large, beautifully furnished and had all the amenities we needed.

This place has it all. A beautiful setting, large comfortable rooms, great food but most of all - the staff. Everyone from the gardener to the manager is both friendly and anxious to be of service. Everyone goes that extra step to make sure your stay is perfect. Even the taxi driver they called for us was on the same wavelength & the sunset dinner cruise they recommended was superb.

Well done Adrian & Everyone that helped make our stay so memorable

Everything about this hotel was clean and stylish.
However it was very formal and elegant so if you are looking for somewhere relaxing and still feel like enjoying the African experience this may not be the right place...though we found everything about it up to standard we just didn't enjoy our stay there as the formality isn't our style...we'd much rather have stayed closer to the river with the wildlife still visible.

Room tip: Only garden views as surrounded by a huge fence and not near the river

Dear Sarolta
Thank you for your kind review and although the lodge was not quite the African experience that you were looking for it was still good to hear that you found Batonka to be stylish and elegant. We hope that your holiday and the mighty Victoria Falls were all that you hoped it would be and you have some fond memories of our beautiful country.
Kind regards,
Adrian.
