One night stay with great hospitality!

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 24 July 2023
We stayed at the Ikomo Bush Camp one night on our game safari. We had an in tent shower and washroom facilities with hot water!!!! The beds were comfortable with mosquito netting. The team were so hospitable. The food was some of the best we had on our safari!!! This is a little more on the bush side but not lacking on the food and hospitality!!!! The wildebeest migration was passing the camp and in the morning we had breakfast upstairs in the restaurant and watched the wildebeest. The breakfast was amazing memory as we enjoyed our coffee and meal admiring the wildebeest!!!

We had a Big tent with 2 beds with klamboes and a fully equiped bath room with hot water

As soon as thé sun goes under untill it goes up security guards Bring you to thé restaurant tent. You get a wishle to call the security. The food was ok. There is a camp fire but many of the chairs around are broken. You are right outside Serengeti national park but thé animals do not Know Borders so we had Buffalo's outside our tent early morning

We had two nights here and really felt it was atmospheric and welcoming. The staff were extremely nice and the tents were very comfortable and spacious. You really need your bug spray around here and a torch is helpful but thats to be expected. We'd be happy to return.

Ikoma is a pleasant address to stay. The tents are neat, the beds fine. The restaurant is excellent, the staff are friendly and helpful. We found that the guidance of a guard to your tent is necessary. One morning two lions were found to be barely 200 meters from our tent!

We were booked in here as part of a safari trip. It was advertised as luxurious. There was absolutely no luxury about it. The tented accommodation had no electricity points in them so all phones, tablets etc had to be left in the lounge to be charged. Also the only way I could dry my hair was to use my hairdryer in front of everyone in the lounge. Unacceptable. There was no hot water in the tents, you had to order it the night before and on both mornings we were there the water was half an hour late in coming which affected our game drives. The water had to be poured in by raising a bucket outside.
The food was basic, it was difficult to get a drink, several times we ordered drinks and they did not appear. Cannot recommend it.
