We traveled with friends and stayed in two rooms over the New Year holiday period.
The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful, picked us up from the airport and returned us back to the airport. The location of this Riad is ideal as it is quiet, but only 5 minutes from the center square and the Souks. We only had breakfast apart from the New Year's Eve meal and they were awesome. The owner gave us travel tips on arrival, which were helpful. Thank you all at Dar Nejat.

Room Tip: Away from the narrow street are quieter.

We love this Riad. The staff and owner were so very friendly and made it so easy to first find our way in the busyness of Marrakech. They arranged for us to be met at the airport, showed us the way to the main square, and had kind advice for every question. We liked them so much we returned for 2 more nights at the end of our trip. The breakfast is nice and the decor is charming. The staff speak English & French & Spanish, and there is secure parking very close. Next time we will book for the custom dinner, served on the rooftop terrace. Great vibe, hope to be back!

There are just so many good things about this riad. It is beautifully built, you feel very cosy and comfortable. Its just a 5 minute walk to the main square (Jemma el-Fnaa) and still tucked away in a quiet corner, you never hear the noise and hustle bustle of the city in here. The breakfast buffet is simply awesome, was the best meal of our day for 5 days! And best of all, the staff is super amazing. They are very helpful, jovial and compassionate. We were served breakfast at 7 am one day! We took 2 excursions with their driver and that was also very good. The wifi is a little slow in the room, but thats OK. Again, this riad is super awesome and we would recommend it always!

A visit to Marrakech without a stay in one of its riads is an incomplete visit. So I booked into Riad Dar Najat for two nights.

First, the Riad is very difficult to find, so its better for a client to call the riad, and it will send two motorcycles to pick one up, as well as the luggage.

There is in fact a little square very close to the riad, which the taxi can access. But it's even unknown for most of the taxi drivers.

The riad is small, the room even smaller. The toilet with shower is the smallest I have seen, but still functional. The shower drainage was a bit slow though.

The bed was quite ok to sleep on, and despite the Riad is in middle of the medina, it was very quiet at night, and sleep quality was good. No mosquitoes in the room in October.

The breakfast was good, and the staff was always happy to sit with me for a while to chat. Very nice atmosphere. There's a Jacuzzi but I didn't try. Most of the clients are French, north Americans, discrete, respectful.

I enjoyed my stay in the riad, and would highly recommend it.

Hi to our friends and thanks for the kind words here and the nice pictures.
I would anyway answer to the kind comment as ..the traveller is not spot on I might say.
Regarding the location. Dar Najat benefits of a top location just fifty meters from the Cousin of the King Palace and five minute from the big square Jemma El Fna.
Around Dar Najat, you have more or less 20 top rated Riads and the best restaurants as Pepe Nero & Naranj & un dejeuner a Marrakech & Kosi Bar which are close indeed.
We strongly recommend to each guest with kindly sending a booking confirmation with first, a google map link..second a map of situation to take advantage of our pick-up service or transfer to arrive smoothly to Dar Najat.
Why? as this traveller..lots of cab will first charge more than they should and second of all for the majority of them will only drop you to the big square to do faster to be able to take another guest.
Yes indeed, Moulay Idriis Douar Graoua dear friend is known by all cabs or citizen in Marrakech as the heart of the Medina and so close from everything.
I answer with lots of explanations here..sorry..
...we have been looking to 370 riads in one year duration before buying the Dar Najat 11 years ago to have a great location close from action & with a car access and no noise with trying to be " an Oasis in the old town ".
Following the idea..that first..location..second..location...the most important indeed.
Last..it is difficult indeed anyway for a cab to find directly one riad or hotel directly without any indications a part of the address.. as you have more or less 1500 different ones..
That is why some cabs will prefer first..doing some money faster as said and second, why we kindly recommend to our guests if they desire coming on their own to give a call to the Riad to explain in Arab the best best way to arrive if necessary as..printing before head the map of situation to show to the driver if the communication is not easy.
Unfortunately, the guest did not take advantage of our advices and transportation service.
Many thanks in any case and lets say ..see you soon!
Cheers,Dar NajatTeam.

There really isn't much I can say that has not already been said about this place and its staff. They are really amazing. At every turn they go way out of there way to help with any request you have, and need you express. The breakfast is simple, but delicious and you won't leave hungry. The wifi is good. I would pick the downstairs room in the corner if you're looking for a room tip. Ollie (the owner) upgraded our room to a bigger one just because--super nice and really indicative of the personality of the place. It is really a great location with parking nearby and super close to the medina. You really don't need to look much farther than here if you want to stay in a Russ in the old city. Ollie spent a great deal of his own time and energy helping with an issue we had as well (unrelated to the hotel, just Marrakech). Thanks against n Ollie. Oh, and make sure you introduce yourself to the dog!
