As a first timer in Morocco, we started our trip very well having met the owner Renaud. The Riad is a nice homely place in a great location near the old Medina of Marrakech and the new, modern city areas of Marrakech. It was a very comfortable stay and we were welcomed with the Moroccan Mint Tea and biscuits.

Renaud took his time to explain to us famous places of the medina and tourist locations in the modern city. He also recommended places to eat and gave advice when walking through the market.

Lovely small cosy Riad with 6 rooms and a great friendly team. Renaud, the Riad host greeted us when our driver arrived near the Riad. We were immediately made to feel at home and we were even told to be free and relaxed, as if we were in our own home.
Renaud gave us great tips and showed us on a map where we could visit, shop, eat (with recommendations etc); which were all very useful. Renaud has been in Marrakech for many years and if you need further tips and/or clarification, he is the man. If you need anything, just ask... within reason of course. :-)

24 hours service available and we had our dinner the first night in the Riad, prepared by one of the nice ladies working there. This is a must for at least once during your stay. Delicious!!!

The walls are a bit thin but it is part of the experience. You are in the medina and you hear the hustle and bustle of the streets, the daily prayings etc... but this did not bother us at all... it only made the exprerience more authentic.

Room tip: Alle Zimmern sind anders ausgestattet und jedes hat sein eigenes Charm. Schau auf dem Web-site ein.

My parents and I stayed in the Riad for one night as we wanted to spend more nights but there were no availability. The Riad was very well decorated and confortable. The terrace was a nice place to take a rest and most important of all, the Riad owner Renaud was the one that make this place unique. Unlike other Riads that we stayed for the rest of our tour (Always try to make more money out of guests by selling tours and etc) , Renaud told us there is no need to contract a local tour guide, he explained to us thoroughly all the tourist places and the routes that we can go and where we can eat. We felt confident on him as we felt that he just wanted that his guests all have fun and be safe during their stay in Marrakech. On the check out date, Renaud even took us to another Riad (as there is no room available in his place ) by walking through numerous small roads and book a hammam spa for us on that day and that was a good hammam experience that I had in Moroco. I tried another Hammam that was recommended by Fes Riad owner, and that was a horrible experience…
Anyway, If I ever get a chance to come back to Marrakech, I will definitely stay in Renaud Riad again and recomendad to whoever going to Marrakech as Riad itself is located in a nice place (easy to find and excess by car) and Inside the Riad was very confortable (bed and everything) and most important of all, the owner treat you like a friend not customer !

This hotel goes just beyond anything you could ever hope for. The host Renaud is just a fountain of knowledge, he will tell you the best tips of how to skip queues and his dinner recommendations for dinner were sot on every time. He knows his stuff! But best of all was the staff help, WOW, probably THE best tagine I had the whole trip and we had amazing food every time. Honestly, the preserved lemon and chicken was incredible. Ask for it on the roof terrace - you get your own private dinner. The staff were so kind and during ramadan they made sure everyone just so welcoming and kind and wanted to make you happy. The place on the whole was also BEYOND beautiful. Exactly like the photos show. Pure romance. Would recommend this place a million times over. Thank you so much for the most perfect trip.

Riad La Terrasse des Oliviers made the experience of Marrakech more than we had hope for! It is a gorgeous, quiet oasis in the midst of a very busy Medina. The architecture and interior design of the Riad is infused with traditional Moroccan design and art work. As beautiful as the Riad is, the best part was the wonderful proprietor, Renaud and his fabulous staff! Everyone who works there is so helpful and willing to assist in anyway to make your stay as pleasant as possible. If we are ever back in Marrakech, we will definitely be returning to Riad La Terrasse des Oliviers!
Thanks! Michelle F.
