“Would not stay again”
Reviewed 10 September 2012

Stayed there as part of a tour. Room was clean and bed was ok to sleep in. But the lobby service was "I don't care attitude". Breakfast/dinner was not 5 star - 2 would be generous!

Unfortunatey the travel agent didn't warn us that during Ramadan they don't serve (much food) or alcohol. I ended up bringing up own breakfast and dinner outside of the hotel. It was an effort getting a map.

There was nothing in the mini bar - not even water. We couldn't eat dinner before 8pm and were not allowed to bring personal consumables into the hotel room.

They promoted the gym - one bike and one treadmill that you had to pay $20 to use.

Would not stay there again.

Room Tip: Don't believe they are five stars.

Myself and my family spent seven nights at this hotel last week, we booked into two rooms. Both rooms were clean and Air con was working. We were based on the fourth floor, One room at the rear of the hotel with beautiful views of the Atlas mountains, and the other at the front with the city views inc. Koutoubia Mosque. The noise did not effect us on this floor.
The location of the hotel is great, just opposite the local bus station, a supermarket to the left and a bank to the right, a fifteen minute entertaining walk to either the Gueliz (new part) and also to the Jemaa el Fna Square.
Finally and most importantly the Hotel staff were a friendly, approachable and helpful bunch. We felt so welcome when entering the hotel, the main desk was open 24 hours, room service was good, and breakfast was superb. The hotel owner himself was a real gentlemen, he approached us several times and asked us alongside many others ensuring we were having a great stay. All in all I would definately recommend Ryad Mogador Marrakech and will be staying here again in February.

Room Tip: Rooms on the fourth floor facing the rear of the hotel

We stayed at this hotel in Aug 12 and were very disappointed. We booked for half board, for 7 nights and the food was similar every night. Not much choice for vegetarians ( pasta, pasta and pasta........) very very disappointed. Menu was in French and the choice was chicken or fish every single night. Breakfast is ok but suggest there should be choice of cheese and fruit yogurt and fruit. Rooms at the front can be very noisy as we had to ask for a room at the back of the hotel, which was ok. Air condition was not good as it was dripping and also the taps in the bathroom were dripping, the condition of the bath tub and the sink / toilet was very poor. Staff were rude and they could not provide a map. Air condition in the dinning area was not good so there were lot of flies. Poor Air Con in the Cafe. Overall it was very very disappointing. Will not stay at this hotel again.

Room Tip: room at the back of the hotel - do not go for room 507 at the front of the hotel, very noisy

This hotel is OK if you want somewhere to sleep but was nothing special. It is located near the bus station and therefore if your room is in the wrong place it can be very noisy. it is about 25 minutes walk from the main square. Rooms have air conditioning (when it works) which is really necessary. The pool is very small. Breakfast is not too bad but we found that at different times of the morning some items were not available.

If I visit Marrakesh again I would look for a different hotel.

Brilliant hotel in a good location (city center) with wonderfully helpful staff.
Near bus station and supermarket. Very good breakfast.
Would recommend them to anyone.
I just booked my hotel using lowcostholidays.com.
The web site is just easy and fun way of booking hotel room.
