On the plus side the hotel lobby, the pool, the gardens and the location are wonderful. The front desk check-in staff are good and the rooms were fine although ridiculously overpriced. On the negative side the famed service was disappointing. It was hard to get through to the concierge. Follow up all around was poor. We never received our covid results by email despite two requests. The person who showed us to our room, could not explain how the overly complicated lighting works. The room service food for dinner was poor. As is fitting French is the default language and many signs are only in French and though most of the staff were fluent in English not all were. If you are looking for a costly comfortable place to relax that does not have much to do with Moroccan culture this would be a good place to stay. However, there are many riads in Marrakesh that have much better rooms, much more personalized service, much more exposure to Moroccan culture and have a much friendlier staff for a much lower price.

We came for four days as a family getaway to the Riad and the service and experience was amazing!
Definitely recommended! And special thanks to our Butler Karim who provided for the most personalised attention, he guaranteed a perfect vacation.

No words can do the La Mamounia experience justice. The signature fragrance of the hotel, the comfort of the rooms which open up to the pale pink balconies with the lovely views, the beautiful Moroccan design throughout the hotel, the garden, the oranges and treats left each day by housekeeping in the rooms, the gym, the food, the churchill bar. The worst part is having to leave, but even there they let you down gently with the miniature room scent and postcards to take away! Truly one of the most beautiful hotels in the world. Great links to popular tourist attractions in Marrakach like the souq, Musee de YSL, carbaret bars, etc.

We visited La Mamounia as part of my 50th birthday celebrations. The place is so elegant and reflective of traditional moroccan high living. Afternoon tea is a must if you are looking for an afternoon to relax and their patio bar is an evening haven where you can sit and relax over your drinks listening to the chirping birds while the evening falls. The staff are equally friendly and professional. I've experienced how they make sure their clients don't turn away disappointed. Don't pay attention to the price. Everything is so worth it!

Room tip: Don't hesitate to stroll through the garden. La Mamounia has loads of hidden gems!
