Our choice for fine dining in Marrakech was the Red House, which was just a 10-minute walk from the Sofitel. What a find! This is an amazing house, which is now a boutique hotel. The dining hall was stunning with beautiful mosaic tiles on the floor and walls and amazing ceilings. We soaked in the ambiance, which included a sole lute player singing in Arabic. The service was excellent. The lamb tajine, which is their signature dish was succulent and tasty. It overshadowed the beef, which is cooked in a jar, which turned out to be a bit too tough and somewhat tasteless. The Red House is well worth a visit – its lamb tajine is truly outstanding.
