My partner and I stayed here for 5 nights, and we can only agree with the positive reviews already posted. Fantastic service, which even included providing a bowl of warm water infused with mint and cloves for my partner to soak her sore and blistered feet in -- a great remedy by the way!

There is no TV in the rooms (which was fine). Breakfast was good though a bit monotonous by the final day.

Everything good that you read about Riad Al Badia and it's amazing staff on TripAdvisor is true! And more! We found Laurent's riad by accident because our first choice wasn't available. What a wonderfully serendipitous 'accident' that was! From our first email contact to Laurent's insistence that he personally carry our backpacks out to the taxi when we left, our week at Riad Al Badia was the pinnacle of service, relaxation, helpfulness, efficiency, courtesy and wonderful ambiance. Laurent and his lovely team could have written the book on customer service and how to make guests feel like family. They strike a perfect balance between being helpful and engaging, and allowing you to relax. I had let slip that our week in Marrakech was a birthday treat for my wife. What a lovely surprise it was to arrive 'home' on her birthday after a day in the High Atlas to find a specially-made certificate with birthday wishes, a delicious bottle of wine and handmade Moroccan nibbles. This little gesture alone says everything about this Riad and the team that make it so special. We will recommend Riad Al Badia wholeheartedly whenever we can. And when we come back to Marrakech this will be our first choice. Thank you again Samira, Amal, Hanane, Ahmed, Adil, Ahmed & Laurent for making my introduction to Morocco such a joy – and reminding my wife why she loved your country so much when she was here 12 years ago. If you are trying to decide which riad to book, don't hesitate, just choose Al Badia. You will be treated like royalty.

I cannot speak highly enough of the welcome and service we received from Laurent, Ahmed and all the staff at Riad Al Badia. Nothing was too much trouble and their care and concern was exceptional.
As arranged a driver was at the airport to transfer us to the Riad (about a 10-15 minute drive) which is located in a quite back street in the Palace district of the southern part of the medina. On arrival Ahmed sat us down with some refreshing mint tea and pointed out all the main sights on a map. On our first venture out he accompanied us to the nearby square to help us get our bearings and show us the route to the Jemaa el Fna square, about a 10 minute walk away.
We had the Ambre room which is located at the top of the Riad, on the roof terrace. It was simply but stylishly furnished, very clean, air-conditioned and the double-bed was large and comfortable. There was sufficient hanging space, a chest of drawers and a safe. The bathroom was decorated with Moroccan tiles, with a large walk-in shower. The terrace outside (for the use of all residents) afforded views over the city and to the Atlas Mountains. Free Wi-Fi is available in the Riad but does not reach up to the terrace – we did not find this a problem however since it was pleasant to sit around the plunge pool on the ground floor when accessing our emails, etc. The ample breakfast of breads, pastries, fresh orange juice, mint tea and coffee set us up perfectly for the day.
Marrakech is a busy, bustling city which might be slightly intimidating to a first time visitor. The Riad and the wonderful staff are a tranquil haven and guiding presence to make sure you get the most out of your stay. Laurent gave us tips on what to see and how to get there, arranged taxis and even went out to the Supratours bus station himself to purchase coach tickets for our transfer to Agadir – he would not take any payment for this service and said he wanted us to enjoy our time sightseeing rather than taking a trip out to the coach station – amazing service!
We ate out at some lovely places and I would recommend Pepe Nero (which I booked in advance through TopTable!), Café Arabe, either restaurant at La Maison Arabe (the Trois Saveurs restaurant was beautiful and make sure you have a drink in the piano bar before), La Salama (just of the main square), lunch around the pool at the Palais Donab and a great find for lunch on the edge of the souk near the Madersa was Le Jardin (rabbits and tortoises wandering around in the gardens – www.lejardin.ma). I would also highly recommend having dinner in the Riad where Salma prepared a delicious traditionally festive Moroccan dinner.
In conclusion I would have no hesitation in recommending Riad Al Badia and would certainly return again!

We booked this Riad on the strength of previous reviews here and were not disappointed. Sadly we only had two days of our five day holiday before my sister and I both went down with a bug (nothing to do with the hotel) which caused a severe stomach upset. We spent the next three days feeling totally exhausted, either in bed or on the hotel terrace. The staff could not have been more considerate. The lovely Laurent came to see why we had not appeared and said how worried all the staff had been. They tried to suggest things we might feel like eating and provided lovely home made broth to tempt our appetites.

Previous to that they made every effort to help us find our way round Marrakech. Laurent took us in detail through the map and was very knowledgeable on the history, sights and customs that we would find most useful. He booked restaurants for us and walked with us to find a taxi. Ahmed, one of the other managers was just as considerate in helping with our well being and making sure we were always as comfortable as possible.

I have seldom encountered such a high level of personal service anywhere; the staff told us we were like family to them and treated us as honoured guests. The terrace was a haven of tranquillity when we felt ill and if we return to Marrakech, we would definitely stay there again.

Dearest Carmel & Veronica, Thank you so much for such a touching message that went straight to our hearts. We hope you completely recovered now. We keep such an emotional souvenir of your stay, this was again such a beautifull meeting, thank you for your sense of humor, your extreme kindness with everyone of us, your smiles and interest in our culture, our eveyday way of life and your new itinaries and discovers will remain in my memory. We felt so sad that you spent these few days badly and we hope this is over now. We will remember you as lovely persons. Your are definitely part of the "big extended Riad Al Badia Family" and whenever you want to come back, you will always be more than welcome, we find the terrace really empty since you left ! Our heartfelt gratitude for everything, you are part of our memories. Take good care of both of you now.

This was the perfect place to base ourselves for a long weekend in Marrakech. The welcome and service from all the staff was brilliant, in particular Ahmed, who introduced us to the Riad and Marrakech over mint tea and homemade cakes on arrival and even guided us into the city to set us on our way. The riad was the perfect antedote to the bustling city - calm and luxurious. Freshly-prepared breakfasts on the terrace were a delight and there was no worrying about missing breakfast hours as the food was always ready at the moment we were. We dined in one evening and enjoyed a lovely Moroccan three course meal. We can't reccommend this place more highly.
