This is a fabulous secret. Most people go to Maison Arabe or Cafe Des Espices or Nomad. Neither hold a candle to this place. The food is much better than the other places listed. It is also very romantic and beautiful. The restaurant is a little hard to find but persist as it will be worth the trouble.

Magical in every way, that is all I will say! The only true Morrocan restaurant that goes beyond ones expectations. Bravo pour tout l'equipe et l'imagination et class de Le propietaire! Je revien en Janvier avec mon mari Merci pour Le bon gout. All the other "famous" restaurants in Marrakech were very disappointing.

Ksar Es Saoussan is a welcome retreat after being in the chaos of Medina alleys. The food was excellent, abundant, and a great introduction to Moroccan cuisine. I would say the service was on par with some of the best dining experiences the world has to offer. If Michelin stars were truly representative of good world cuisine, this place would have at least one star. The navigation to find the place is a tiny price to pay- and frankly, everything in Marrakech is kinda hard to find ; )

A little off the beaten track, however it is signed posted. Once you get into the restaurant it's beautiful, the main room has a lot of original features and our host gave us a detailed history of the building. Upon our arrival (we were the only customers and maybe took them slightly off guard), we were given the opportunity to explore the building before being seated.

We choose the Petit Dinner off the set menu and as other reviews have stated this was more than enough. The food was delicious, the traditional Moroccan salad to start was fresh and light. The Tagine and couscous dishes that we had for main were superbly cooked, with the meat just falling apart. Dessert again was delicious and so were the Moroccan pastries and mint tea to finish.

Throughout our meal the waiter was attentive yet not overbearing, especially as we were the only table dining. Whilst his English was limited he really made an ensure we understood everything, neither my partner or I have more than a handful or words in French.

I would recommend this restaurant to anyone in Marrakech, it's definitely worth finding. Both the food and service were spot on.

The restaurant is rather hard to find and seems rather suspect when you first try to find it, but once you get to the riad that the restaurant is located in, you'll be blown away. The interior is beautiful and the service is top notch. The server is very friendly. The food is traditional Moroccan food. We had the 'petit diner,' which was quite a lot of food.

There was a cocktail to start off (can be non-alcoholic). Then small plates with bread - the small plates are served in a tiered stand and was delicious. For the main dish, you can choose from food like tagine, couscous (delicious, highly recommend), pigeon pastilla (very sweet, like a dessert). Then there is dessert, and finally petit fours with mint tea. It was a delightful experience and the food was delicious - although there was so much of it!

It's definitely a hidden gem, but I 100% that you visit the restaurant if you're in Marrakech. I'd recommend getting a reservation beforehand, since seating is limited.
