I was greeted in the evening after a long day in the car (after a night in the desert) like a friend of the family. Moha and his colleagues were kind, communicative, friendly and made every effort to accommodate my arrival even though my plans were last minute. As a solo female traveler, I appreciate the care and attention I received. My room was unique, lovely and safe. I was given gorgeous meals and great suggestions for a guide, where and when to go pharmacy, ATM, etc.
There are many spectacular riads in Fes. The price tag will also match. If you want splendor and perfection-look elsewhere (or visit them on a tour like I did). If you want to be greeted with kindness and welcomed into a beautiful, comfortable, affordable and safe home (dar means home, after all) with friendly people who will help you with your Arabic, make your dinner reservations, and maybe even share some of the secret gems right around the riad - stay here.More
