Jean-Claude the owner is a warm and friendly fellow. We enjoyed our stay here.
The shower could have been hotter but no matter, the charm of the place made up for that. The terrace has a great view.
For us the location was really good as it is in the old city, but not too close to the mad bustle of the larger market areas. It is fairly close to some of the more Moroccan market areas like the fish market where locals actually shop. We found the North Gate market area (further away) to be just a tacky tourist trap.

The only down side is the amount of annoying touts on every corner of the medina outside.

My family and I stayed in this beautiful Riad for only 3 short days but it was a fantastic and restful adventure. The Riad is stunningly decorated, the hosts are lovely and helpful and the Medina is exciting and beautiful. My kids and I loved our delicious rooftop breakfasts, discovery the old city and tasting all the wonderful food in and out of the Riad. Thanks Jean Claude and Simo for making our first Moroccan trip a real delight.. a bientôt I hope!!! Grosses bises

It is a nice hotel in a traditional area. Very interesting to go. We were treated excellently as guests. We were intensively instructed to make the visit to the traditional part for a succes. If you don't want a regular Hotel, try this clean and beautiful hotel.

This tastefully decorated Riad is charming, comfortable and in a great location. The owner and staff are helpful and authentic and went above and beyond for us during our stay. The rooms were cozy, clean and the beds comfortable. We loved our visit to Fes and our stay here!

Upon arrival in Fes, we were greeted by Simo who was able to guide us through the labyrinth of alleys and narrow streets to find the Riad Laayoun. To our surprise we walked through the doors and found ourselves in a beautiful space. Our room was private and tucked away and we had full access to every spot in the Riad. Jean Claude made us feel at home, ensuring that all of our needs were taken care of. We were able to enjoy quiet nights on the rooftop to wind down from the business of the Medina. We had a wonderful breakfast and Jean Claude even packed us a breakfast to go when we left for our trek at 7am, which was early. We had thought my boyfriends money clip with all of his cards had been lost in the Medina but it was found by Jean Claude and he graciously mailed in back all the way to Chicago for us. This place truly was a wonderful stop on our way through Morocco and we would encourage anybody to stay here.
