Delicious food consistently, in an elegant, but unpretentious space. Food is always good. This borders on being fine-dining, but people don't generally dress up a lot to go here. The atmosphere is really pleasant - no blaring TVs or loud customers.

The food, service and atmosphere are great for couples, families and groups. The prices are rather high, but okay for a special occasion.

We come to Ames quite often to take our nephew to lunch. This is probably our favorite place to eat. They always have a soup of the day that is great and one of my favorites is the French dip. Excellent sweet potato fries! Tremendous prime rib sandwich and we tried the Vanilla Bean Salmon the other day. Our waitress said if we didn’t like it she would buy our lunch. We loved it! What a great place.

The weather was pleasant enough that we ate outside. I loved the fact that they had bistro offerings -- smaller servings of some of their most popular dishes. Our server, Kate, helped to accommodate our weird requests while we're on the Keto diet. They also offer some wines by the bottle at very affordable prices. We'll be back in Ames next week, and we've already planned to come back!

Visit was hit and miss. Diet Coke served in a can with no refills. Bread and butter is not complimentary and has to be ordered. Both practices very unusual for midwestern restaurants. The lasagna was the special and was just okay. Prime rib was served with baby red mashed potatoes and seasoned corn. Prime rib was seasoned and cooked perfectly. This dish was phenomenal and alone is worth a visit. Restaurant is located in old Ames downtown. Overall a nice evening.
