Traditional and non-traditional Brazilian food and drink...with some Greek thrown in..really yummy. I like the Feijoada...filling...and Brazilian fries. The Capirinha is great, too...

Our first visit to Ames and we dined at Cafe Beaudelaire - what a fantastic meal! Our waitress was great but as the restaurant became busier we saw her less and less. It is a small establishment with inside and outside dining, and from what we could tell there were 3 wait staff handling if all.
The food was amazing- not something expected from small town Iowa! They are known for their burgers and my husband was not disappointed! His big burger had Munster cheese, chorizo, avocado and a fried egg on top! I had the Iron Veggie which was a fantastic mix of black beans with rice and kale! It wasn’t the prettiest of meals but it was so good!
Service, and only because they got so busy, is the only reason I give them a four instead of a five.
If you are in the area - go for a bite, just make sure to go early!

Nestled on a shady street across from the uni is a real treasure. Cafe Beaudelaire has a quiet subtle hip vibe that pairs great food, great drinks, and great service. Come early, stay late: any time is the right time to be here. Try the burgers!!

Went here for lunch to try the hamburger that was voted best in ames. We arrived at 10 am and the place was already getting busy. It's a very small place. The hamburger was good, not sure it's the best in ames.
Our food arrived, hamburgers had to much mayo on them, you get around 8 to 10 fries.

Yep! Best Hamburger I've ever had in Iowa (I've lived here ~45 years).
Food and DRINK are good, and the atmosphere is convivial Went recently,
but the best memory was taking an Italian friend when Italy and Argentina
were playing soccer for the world cup final. Owner has Argentine roots and
we were in a small minority, but enjoyed the drinks and excitement even if Italy lost.
