Really enjoyed this course. It was in perfect condition and the landscaping was some of the best ever. The views of Molokini and other parts of Maui and the ocean were just lovely - you can't get enough! It was less challenging than the Kapalua courses, but nice to finally get a decent score on the island (for a woman). Great resort golf for those who enjoy the play, the course and the views. Practice is on mats, but they do have tees for the mats. Marshall brought us extra water on a hot day (yes, they have cart coolers). GPS on the carts.

This course was amazing. You cannot beat the views. The staff was the utmost accommodating. We rented clubs instead of bringing ours to Hawaii and the rentals were in excellent condition. Make sure you wear your sunscreen!!!

Played 5 rounds of golf on my trip, including both at Kapalua, but this one was probably my favorite. It's highly under rated. You get more holes with great views, overlooking Molokini, and it's playable and enjoyable vs layout, ups & downs, wind at Kapalua, and total round time (due to volume of people at Kapalua). Just look at these photos for yourself

Very nice resort course. Well conditioned with nice views and beautiful clubhouse, but my criteria for a great course is the memorability of the holes . The design of this track
did not stand out , and for $200 plus I was expecting
A little more " wow "

The Emerald Course is Wailea's signature golf course and it generally lives up to its billing. Like most of the courses on Maui there's great elevation change including the spectacular first hole which offers a great view over the ocean (in the distance - none of the holes come near the water). There are many memorable holes including the spectacular view from the first tee (and the big downhill drive), the 6th and the massive double green shared by holes 10 and 17. We found the corset be in good condition though the greens do take some time to get used to (if you usually play in a more northernly climate) as depending on the direction of the grain your ball will roll very differently. Also, the undulating greens can be tricky to read - just remember and trust that they always break towards the water.

If you can secure an early tee time. If you're one of the first three of four groups off you will get your round in well under four hours leaving you lots of time for another round or simply to relax on the beach.
