Chill little caye with a cool vibe to it. caye caulker has a real Caribbean feel to it. Tiny enough to watch the sub rise and set over the water from the same spot.

Like everyone else said, the island is very laid back, not much going on off of Front St. And besides the three bars that stay open late, it gets even quieter after 10pm. However there are plenty of reasonably priced excursions, lots of places to eat and everyone is very nice. I didn't find anyone pushy like you see in Mexico. There is one gift shop and a few people selling jewelry at tables. If you like to be on the go during your vacations, this is not the place to be. We never felt unsafe and we walked around the whole island. Like anywhere you want to remain cautious though. Caye Caulker is a wonderful little gem of an island.

Great atmosphere and an awesome little island! There aren't a lot of places to swim right off the island but there are plenty of day trips to keep you busy and you can always dip into the ocean at The Split. We'll definitely go back!
