Shark alley was amazing. Numerous large sharks ranging in size up to 14 feet, and very large stingrays swim right by you. It is safe as long as you are not teasing them. The guides fed them as we were in the water. A must do if I'm Ambergris Caye.

This place is really cool! It's a must do for anyone going to San Pedro. Its not much of a ride out and the swim is easy if not a little congested at times. The sharks can be small to pretty big but they aren't there to harm you. The rays are all over the place and some are quite large.

Sharks and rays all in one place, swimming so close you could touch them. They are completely gentle, the sharks only eat dead things, so nothing to worry about. Not to be missed. An experience of a lifetime!

Prior to visiting Shark Ray Alley, we had been doing local dives and had therefore encountered nurse sharks and stingrays, but the experience here was a bit more intense since there were heaps of them, and really close.

Someone a few reviews down said it's a good place to dive, but you can't actually dive here; it's way too shallow. You can snorkel, though, and get in amongst the marine life. Neither the sharks nor the rays seemed to care about any of us, so no need to be afraid.

It's a boat ride away, and often this snorkel site is coupled with at least Hol Chan. You need to go with a dive operator, and I recommend Amigos del Mar. Fun but professional and focused on safety and protecting the marine life.

Check it out! It's worth the time and money - however it is a bit crowded. Just make sure you book with a reputable company and the guide will take care of you :)
