Located on Front Street, Ray Charles Plaza features a life size bronze sculpture of Ray sitting at his piano. We were told that, at night, it lights up & his music is played. Also featured in the plaza are: a sitting area shaped like piano keys and musical note shapes on the ground. There's a plaque displayed in front of the staue which includes brail for the blind. A smaller version of the statue used to be on display for the blind to touch & get a feel of what the life size statue looks like It was removed due to vandalism. The Ray Charles Plaza is a beautiful area with a view of the Flint River in background.
