This quaint little spot serves up some wonderful seafood and, as the names implies, primarily oysters. They will fix the oysters anyway you like. My favorite is ceviche style. Lots of other seafood and steaks are on the menu. Service is very good. A full bar is offered.

We had a wonderful dinner here last year and stopped in on a Sunday night while passing through the area. Granted, the town is pretty much empty on Sundays and many restaurants are closed. There were only a few couples in the place when we arrived around 6:00 p.m. and we sat on the back patio. The whole place is pretty basic - nothing fancy at all. We were struck by the high prices - $10.50 for a dozen oysters - about $3 - $4 more than other places. They were out of Grouper, which is typicaly the local fresh fish. Dinner prices are high too - a Grouper dinner is almost $30. We had a salad with shrimp and Amberjack basket/ Fish was good but the red beans and rice were cold and runny. All in all, we wished we had moved along to someplace else.

If you are into deep-fried seafood or raw oysters and french fries, you'll probably like Boss Oyster. Fun to eat on the deck and watch shrimp boats going out for the evening, but beware of seagulls.
