What a lovely coffee house! A series of rooms to sit in and enjoy real coffee or tea and tasty baked goods. Gracious staff. I could have lingered for hours, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. Clean modern country feel to the decor.

On one side of the street there's the long-established homey Coffee Trade, where you can chat with the owners and their crazy-fun helpers, have a business meeting or ladies' tea in the quiet back room, enjoy tremendous coffee, pick up a gift (and usually you can also support a cause if you so choose)... and on the other side of the street there's Dom's. Completely different vibe - not a bad vibe, just seemed more impersonal. There are little nooks where kids seemed to be sipping and studying - that looked sort of perfect for that sort of activity. Or a secret rendezvous! If you're looking for privacy and a more modern feel, then Dom's could be the place to go!

We love a good coffee shop, and Dom's is certainly on par with the famous ones in DC that we frequent. The atmosphere is cozy and encourages quiet conversation and reflection, as a coffee shop should. The staff is friendly. On once visit, I had a delicious iced latte and on another, a hot latte. We will definitely return the next time we are in Avon!

It is also family friendly, and they stock snacks and drinks for kids as well.

Dom's offers a high quality and high class alternative to commoditized, national chain coffee stops. The product is high quality and the ambiance of the setting is minimalist modern and surprisingly comfortable. There is a price to this of course, but if you want to treat yourself, meet a friend for a nice chat or work from a pleasant setting, you will not be disappointed here. I'm local and come once a month or so to work. It is comprised of multiple good size rooms with small tables, two large common tables and counter spaces with stools for work or conversation. Bolster pillows made of canvas are a nice touch (perfect for back support and they are many spread about). Succulents adorn part of the space in wall-mounted containers and fresh flowers are on the cafe-like tables. The coffee is the best in the area and baked goods are excellent (not the sickly sweet versions of other locales). Dom's opens at 7a but does not attract a super early crowd. On my multiuple visits I've seen customers start to flow in more steadily after 8:30a - stay-at home parents meeting up post-school drop off or gym visit, and business folks on occasion conducting interviews. I love the place. If you plan to come often, get a card for 1 freebie after 10 drinks. Caution: a large coffee (take-away) is $4.04 including tax. I don't like the mugs as they are wide brimmed, hard to hold in one hand and the coffee cools too quickly, but that's just me. I have never been disappointed. Note: this location is on the westbound side of Route 44 and easy to drive by. If you are heading East you have to turn left across 44 before the "open" flag, and on leaving you might have trouble making the left to exit to continue East on 44. Your alternative is to exit behind, through the lot of First and Last Tavern, turn right and right again onto Rt. 10, which intersects with 44 with 2 lanes that turn left at a well-time light. Go, enjoy, savor a unique well designed coffee house. One small suggestion for the owners is to consider calibrating music to time of day - early a.m. high paced, loudest music is a challenge for conversation; lower volume might suit the crowd that is attracted to mornings here.
