A neighbor recommended this place to me and I’m glad she did. Had lunch last week with important friends who know good dim sum and we loved it. The food is so fresh and colorful. And, it all tastes so delicious. I heard from a reliable source that this is the “go to” restaurant for the owners of Panda Express when they want to entertain or just enjoy authentic Chinese food. No carts. Must order from the menu. Managers speak English in case you don’t speak Chinese well enough to converse with the wait staff. It’s a little more expensive than other dim sum places, but worth it. Large open dining room good for large groups. A must try if you are in the San Gabriel Valley.

Friends thought this place would be a great place to celebrate a birthday. We were all disappointed. The service is terrible. They were not accommodating. The hostess made us wait for over 20 minutes and we already had reservations. They did not bring out the food in a timely manner. Considering it was a birthday dinner, they treated us as regular run of the mill customers. They food is average as compared to other Cantonese restaurants in the San Gabriel Valley and the price is very expensive. It does not make my Top 10 list.

If you've never been to a dim sum restaurant, this is a good place to start. The menu has photos with names of dishes translated into English. It's easier to look at photos and order what you want instead of waiting for carts to come around. They will give you an order pad with pencil. Select by item number the dish that you want the the quantity that you want. Once ordered, the dishes are delivered to the table quickly. There is a charge for hot tea (tell them the kind of tea you want, oolong, jasmine, etc.,) and soy sauce. Pet peeve is that they are stingy with soy sauce. Some servers come around with large trays of foods which they call out in Chinese. If you don't want those items, just wave them away. My particular favorites are har gow (transparent skin with plump shrimp), steamed cha siu bao (steamed BBQ pork) and steamed Chinese broccoli with hoisin sauce. The shu mai (pork dumpling) and shaolin bao (sou dumpling) texture and taste hasn't been great recently. Classic desserts are egg tars and fried sesame balls. For large groups, it's best to make reservations and arrive early on weekends so you don't have to wait. There's plenty of parking.

Went here to try out their dim sum. Being alone at lunch it's harder to get a table as Sundays are very busy. Once I sat down, my order was taken and the food arrived quick after. The food was fresh and delicious.

This place has pretty good dim sum, but definitely not the best in the area. I can probably think of 2 better ones within a 15 min drive. We ordered a wide variety of dim sum and all were pretty good. We only had 1 bad one; we all took a bite and noticed that it was still cold, cold as in never even steamed yet. Instead of exchanging for a new one, they took the one we gave back and steamed it. Problem is we each took a bite and did not know which is which. I thought it would have been better if they exchanged it for a new one. As others have noted, service is a hit or miss. Most servers seem to not notice when when they walk by or when we call them. This is probably the most expensive dim sum place in the area.
