This is not a place to get fine dining, or a romantic dinner, or even your own table to eat, but for what it is, a burger and fries place, it is very good. I have been to a couple Five Guy's before, but this was the first one that was really, really busy. They took my order pretty fast despite the crowd, but the wait for the food was another thing. In addition, there is no room to stand and wait for your food, so you are basically standing between tables with people eating, waiting for your food, or a table to open up.
Plus, there was woefully little room to sit. Some girls were sitting in the corner taking up two tables and clearly done eating. They spent a good deal of time talking and texting, and disturbing everyone around them. I kinda wished someone would have asked them to leave, but this was not the case. I did manage to snag a chair at the bar area facing the street just before my number was called, so it all worked out in the end (for me).
Then, there is the food. Once you start to eat the burger and fries, it is difficult to remember the seating or ordering problems at all. I love their food. I was smart this time and ordered the little fries, which is NOT little at all. The burger is fresh and messy and big enough, and there are so many fries I couldn't hardly eat them all. Don't waste money on a bigger order of fries unless you are spitting it with someone else.
I feel bad trashing this place because of the small site they are crammed into, which really isn't their fault. The food more than makes up for it.
