This is an attractive restaurant in the Penn Quarter of DC which is on a street that is fairly deserted. Beware of the meters which say 2hrs until 6:30pm but really mean after 6:30 you need to pay as well but can park until 10pm. Tickets are easy to come by.
But back to the restaurant. The entrees are from $18 to $30 dollars. The service "OK". The food was not cooked as requested and the meagre biscuits (3 per 3 people) were not refilled unless asked. The menu as a quasi southern theme which doesn't really make it. All in all it is overpriced and average at best. They need to imrove the food or this will be a former chapter in the renewed section of town.

PS 7's is one of my favorite restaurants in the area. I am actually a manager at a near by fine dining restaurant so I am picky. This place is reasonably priced, and the food and service is always on point. A neighborhood gem.

At first, we weren't impressed by the menu, but it quickly changed: The prosciutto with dried figs was amazing and who knew that a warm spinach salad could be so good!? The Kobe beef (not actually from Kobe, as everyone knows (see http://www.forbes.com/sites/larryolmsted/2012/04/12/foods-biggest-scam-the-great-kobe-beef-lie/) was really good but didn't knock our socks off. We took the dessert sampling and were very pleased with it.

The waiter forgot a couple things, but was so charming, helpful and brought us a glass of wine on the house to make up for it that I'll still give it a 5 star! :)

Ate here in April. Had a terrific burger in the bar with a glass or two of wine. Couldn't have been better, except for perhaps eating in the restaurant which looked very good.

After some lunches that my wife enjoyed a lot, we had dinner here before a concert at the Verizon Center a few blocks away. The staff were exceptionally personable and accommodating, inquiring whether we had to make a show, cheerfully moving us when we asked for table that didn't feature a view of the kitchen trash can, explaining the signature fried chicken picnic, taking back oysters that lost their crispness because the salad was put on top of them, and checking often on our satisfaction. The "chicken confit" flatbread and spinach salad were amazingly good, and the fried chicken was the kind great home cooks used to make. According to friends, the rest of the food is equally tasty. We probably will try to find out if they are right.
