No complaints, but nothing exceptional except for the staff who were super friendly and welcoming. Location is outstanding with the hotel in easy walking distance to Dupont circle and Georgetown. The workout space was really tiny so luckily the weather was not too bad to exercise outside. Could stand some serious carpet cleaning or replacement with flooring that does look so shabby.

Dear Lee E:

Thank you for staying with us and for providing feedback. We will pass along your accolades to staff, thank you. Workout space with full window is much desired during bad weather events. Yes, it is as expansive as some of the Hotels- We will look into the floor condition and see if we need to replace the rubberized surface as it gets scratched from usage.

Please reach out to any one of us on the team for assistance with future stay. We thank you in advance for your Loyalty of our Hotel.

Sincerely,

I guess the location justifies the price but not much else. We had an inside room overlooking the service bays. Noisy throughout the night with trucks backing. The TV options are non existent other than basic satellite service. No pay per view available. Obviously this is a good choice for business travelers but I would not recommend for families.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on M St or 22nd not an inside room

I recently stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Washington DC / Georgetown Area on a volunteer trip. While volunteering I typically stay in economical hotels that are reasonably priced. For the area this is an excellent hotel if you are looking for a budget friendly option. The staff was welcoming and friendly, the hotel was clean, it is walking distance to Georgetown and the Foggy Bottom Metro, there are plenty of cabs outside, and Café Deluxe is attached to the hotel which is a great restaurant for a cocktail or a bite. Nearby you have Soul Cycle as well as Power Core for the fitness enthusiast - as well as the hotel's fitness facilities.

Please note that I gave this hotel 5 stars for being excellent in the class of hotel that this hotel is in. This is not a 5 star hotel. If that's what you are looking for then there are plenty of those options nearby. But for what it is, it is a very nice property.

I always like to keep my reviews pretty balanced, so I will list some areas for improvement. The coverlet on the bed was polyester - one of my personal pet peeves, but nothing terrible - and the room (which was facing M street) was somewhat small for two beds. But, these are hardly things to prevent one from staying at this property. I would definitely recommend.

Room Tip: Get the Hilton App - I was able to choose my room in the app.

The hotel is located in a pleasant, quiet area of Georgetown. Taxis were always available outside and are not expensive. One can walk to the shops in about 15 minutes.

The hotel is nothing grand but pleasant. The lobby is small. Many rooms only come with showers but we asked for a bathtub and were able to get one. Our room was modern and up to date.

However there is only a restaurant on site called Deluxe; not owned by the hotel. On our first day we ordered a grilled cheese. The bread was fried in oil and tasted awful.

The second day we ordered toast with jam. The toast was fried in oil and I had to return it. The toast they brought the second time tasted burnt. It was heated on a grill because they don't have a toaster.

As breakfast is not included, from then on we crossed the street and only ate at the East End; the coffee shop at the Ritz Carlton which was great.

The staff were wonderful; Ali from maintenance was kind enough to show us how some items worked in our room. Great guy, very patient and knowledgeable. Tiffany at reception went out of her call of duty and lent us her charger as our telephone charger broke. Irene at the front desk also was very helpful.

However like in all Hilton Hotels the computers get blocked after 10 minutes. It's not the hotel's fault.

There is no concierge on site but we were allowed to go to the Embassy Suites 1 minute away to ask for advice from their on site concierge.

We were satisfied with our stay and can recommend the hotel.

Room Tip: If you want a bath tub and no shower you should ask.

I had a problem with an Uber driver and a lost wallet. The front desk helped me locate the driver and assisted in my retrieval of my wallet. My stay was excellent for all four days. I would definitely recommend this place for your trip to DC
