Club Level - shortage of food. Several families came in with kids and had to leave since food selection is very limited. What a joke for the amount of money they charge to use club lounge. Witnessed many guests leaving upon viewing the food display. Absolutely not one choice for kids and few selections for adults. Never seen anything like this at any other Ritz locations.

We recently visited Washington for the first time, and stayed at the Ritz Carlton Washington DC. Service was excellent from arrival and throughout the stay - we had a club level room, and we can not recommend the team in the club lounge enough.

We had breakfast, drinks and early evening snacks in the lounge (which is available 24hrs daily) and the team were always very friendly and helpful. They would help us recommend what to do the next day, and at the end of a long sightseeing day, they would warmly welcome us back - really first class service.

Our room was of good size, and the quality of beddings etc. was very good. We liked the location as we were close to Georgetown and we also like walking and it was around 30 minutes to White House etc.

We didnt have a chance to use the gym/pool, but we had a quick look and they looked of excellent quality as well.

Overall we were really pleased with our hotel choice, and when we come back, we will definitely come back to the Ritz Carlton.

Room Tip: If possible get a club lounge room

My daughter was trying to convince girlfriends to go to high tea and they didn’t want to go. So while in vacation in DC our cousin made a reservation at the Ritz. They did not disappoint. The server was friendly and knowledgeable. She made tea recommendations based on the descriptions each guest made. In addition to great tea, food and service they were able to fully accommodate gluten free for my mother in law who has celiac disease. It made her day!!! Can’t say enough.

Stayed a couple nights here in January and it was a gorgeous hotel. The room service grilled cheese sandwich will not disappoint you. The Quadrant bar near the lobby is fantastic! Excellent drink menu and be sure to check out the book with all the US President's favorite drinks. Of course #45 only drinks Diet Coke, figures...
Overall it's a gorgeous hotel with tastefully decorated rooms.

We stayed there this weekend because my fiance was one of the guest chefs for the Hearts Delight charity fundraiser at The Ritz-Carlton. We were so excited to enjoy the first rate service at this hotel. Why did we love it? let me share!

-Welcomed at the front desk by Joseph, a young (everyone is younger than me now) man who was so hospitable and genuinely nice. He offered me a glass of rose which i gladly accepted. To make it even more special, he took the the time to write a hand written note (the long lost art of writing is not forgotten) and it was under our door that evening.
-The lobby bar renovation is beyond beautiful - the cocktail book is so well thought out and quality beverages and (yum) Ballast Point on draft.
-Service is exceptional - everything from the quality of the spacious room to the turn down service and black out curtains.
-Free waters upon entering the hotel - nice touch too.
-chocolate chip cookies in the lobby (free) not sure how i managed to refrain from eating one or 10 but i did. They should be thankful I did not indulge. they looked fantastic.

Lastly, i am not sure I believe the reviewer who recently gave The Ritz-Carlton 1 star - a review with so little words and details - sketchy at best...

Always a treat to be at The Ritz-Carlton; this location is superb!
