We booked a tour for up to 6, but we were the only takers on a Monday morning, so it became a delightful private tour. Our guide is a PhD in art history, which is not in usual for the National Gallery. Her knowledge, visual aids, and easy manner made it easy to understand and enjoy. The collection in the west building aren't my favorite paintings, but Sarah made it a delightful, educational experience. The modern wing is superb, and I'd come back for a context tour of that wing!
