If you're visiting DC, you're here for the history, the memorials and the art. Unfortunately, many of us have huge gaping holes in our educational backgrounds... a common problem. We don't have the time to address all the subjects we should. The interest, curiosity, the willingness to learn is there. We just need a little help. That is where the docents from Context (if they're as competent as Katie Wood Kirchhoff) can step in to inform and enlighten us. The only way to enjoy the sights and appreciate what you're viewing is to have them placed in "Context". That is exactly what Katie, and I assume the other Context guides accomplish. They will make your trip much more meaningful. Museum docents have limited knowledge and haven't time to address questions in detail--bring you own! This is a great educational experience. Fees charged by Context are well worth it (think of tuition expense).
