Owner description: A charming neighborhood that, with its upscale boutiques and notable residents, is more than a college hangout.

While DC boasts being the capital of the great nation, Georgetown thrives on an upscale theme with a top notch University, glittering shops, tourists and fine dining. After visiting the museums and monuments for couple of days, Georgetown located at the northwest part of DC, offers an altogether different experience. Driving and parking are challenges though, but public transport and Uber can come to the rescue.

Georgetown is a trendy neighborhood with tiny homes, fashionable boutiques, tons of eateries and just a great place to stroll and people watch. The only downside that comes with all that is the parking situation. Good luck trying to find street parking. Garage parking is available but very tight.

Had a few hours to kill before catching our flight home so hopped on the yellow circulator bus for $1 and spent some time in Georgetown. Loads of high end and more reasonably priced stores to browse around. Very enjoyable.

Georgetown is a community that is quaint, extremely expensive and have local police who told me there is not a chance that they will become a part of a ‘Sanctuary City’.
