My husband and I always go to the Lafayette restaurant for special occasions. One would think it would be overly priced and it is not. It is totally reasonable and you get wined and dined and treated like ROYALTY. The food is superb and the staff are beyond gracious and the décor is unmatched. We LOVE the Lafayette Restaurant.

We highly recommend eating here.

I came here for a Sunday brunch and found it to be above average, overall. The ambience is elegant and refined. The service is attentive and appropriate. The quality of food is pretty good, but not excellent. I prefer the breakfast to the brunch, quite frankly. Not only is it more affordable but it's also just an overall better experience!

Our friend booked this restaurant and was looking for a place with linen tablecloths and a quiet, calm atmosphere and the restaurant fit that bill completely.

We had 3 different starters, all of which were fine. My husband had the octopus which was quite spicy, but lovely and tender. My beet salad was fine - the ginger in the salad was rather low key. Our friend had the burrito and seemed happy with her selection.

Entrees were more difficult to choose from since our friend does not eat mushrooms and quite a few of the choices had some kind of mushroom in them, but it was easy to hold those.

I had the crab cake Benedict with perfectly cooked eggs, although I would say the sauce had been plated little too soon and then the plate left under a heated lamp. My husbands lamb was very good and our fiends salmon also seemed to be good.

We had sat down for a late lunch at 1.15 and were disappointed to hear that by the time we got to dessert, the chef had thrown away the mixture for one of our choices. We also felt a little rushed towards the end when we had to pay because the cashier was closing up. At least we were allowed to sit with our coffee and remaining wine after we had paid.

The meal was quite good, and the service was also quite good. There were several of us with several dietary restrictions. When the food came each of us received hot food even with the large group. This can be a challenge in most restaurants when each person orders something different.
