The Woodley Park Guest House is ideally located in one of the better areas of DC. Access to all the major attractions of DC is very easy via the Metro which is just across the road. The rooms are quiet and comfortable and very tastefully presented. An excellent continental breakfast was provided at a communal breakfast table giving the opportunity to engage with other guests. Host Courtney and the staff went out of their way to be helpful. In all, a very pleasant experience at a very reasonable price in a nice part of Washington DC.

This property is splendidly located, just a couple of metro stops from everything you could want to see in DC. It's clean and friendly, and Courtney and her terrific staff go to great lengths to ensure you feel like you've just arrived at home. Best are the breakfasts, where you'll meet (be introduced) to folk from all over the globe and share the best conversations. There are myriad restaurants just around the corner - seeing the President's motorcade go by was a highlight for this Aussie - and the metro is literally seconds away. Would I come back? Heck, I didn't want to leave!

We chose this as a base for our four day visit to Washington DC due to its convenient location close to the Metro plus the quality reviews from previous guests. We were not disappointed.

The Metro couldn't be better situated, just a half block to the elevator entrance, a little further for the escalator. The neighborhood was safe, with a good selection of restaurants nearby. And both the trolley and open top tour buses have a pick up stop just a block away, so an option to start your sightseeing day.

Our bedroom was on the smaller side, as was the bathroom, but spending the whole day checking out the sights, it wasn't of particular importance. Housekeeping was of a very good standard.

Breakfast, available after 7-30am, was average fare and served as a communal gathering for all of the guests to interact, spurred on by the effervescent owner, Courtney. Possibly not for the shy, retiring type who may prefer to time their morning meal until after the crowd have departed.

Friendly staff, pay parking available, handy for everything, so in conclusion, a lovely guest house in a decent area of DC.

I spent four nights at this B&B Great location ...1/2 block from Metro Station (Woodley Park -Zoo) and near plenty of places to eat. Best of all was that it was right across the street from the hotel where my conference was located. Couldn't ask for anything better. I Had not spent time in this area of D.C. before and liked it's location - away from the tourist areas. Inn was clean, bright, and comfortable. Staff was excellent!!! Everyone who worked there was a professional. One of the owners had breakfast with guests one morning and that was so nice and welcoming. Had single room with shared bath. Room and bath were very, very clean. Bed was comfortable. No problem with sharing the bath, which I heard is usually a problem for Americans. Most houses converted to B&B's have small rooms so the size didn't bother me. Staff helped with finding places to eat, printing boarding passes, and overall making my stay in D.C. seamless and pleasant.

In closing, I would stay here again and have already recommended to co-workers and friends.

At the end of a 5 week holiday in the USA , we spent 5 nights at Woodley Park Guest House and we couldn't have been happier. Initially, we were disappointed with the small size of the room we chose but we spent so little time there it did not matter-the bed was comfortable and the small bathroom clean and functional. The welcome and care we received from Courtney and her staff was wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble - from personally driving us to "Hillwood" (not to be missed), to finding tickets for us to the 25th anniversary production of "Les Miserables".We enjoyed the sociable breakfasts around the big table and met many different, interesting people. At the end of a day's sightseeing it was a joy to return to the peaceful, residential area of Woodley Park and enjoy an evening meal at one of the interesting restaurants around the corner.Thank you Courtney and your staff!
