Plan on spending 2 hours to see everything. We arrived after doing the Capitol tour and Library of Congress tour. The Supreme Court is next door, so it's a good three building combo to do. Inside there are pictures and plaques to read about the construction of the building, a 20+/- minute movie to watch plus a volunteer talk in the chamber. We arrived late enough in the day there was a limited amount of time to view the interior. Then we had to make a decision: movie or live talk. We opted for talk. I think it would have been good if it was a different speaker. Ours was just, well, rather boring and dry. Since I work in the law field I was interested in the subject matter, but our speaker couldn't hold my interest! I will be visiting again and give myself enough time to see everything and hopefully get a better speaker.

Visited inside and outside of the building just briefly. It was more like a museum than a courthouse.

So many things surprised me about the Supreme Court. The amount of marble in the building is jaw dropping. The Supreme Court is much smaller than I thought it would be. The characters used in the murals were interesting and in some cases, surprising. I believe that I have a better understanding of the ideals that shaped our nation having spent time here

Right across the street from the US Capitol is this great hall of legislative history. The exterior is unique and the interior is filled with interesting history of the court. The elliptical staircase is a must see once your inside as well. Did not sit for a session but still a very interesting and iconic place to visit.

We didn't actually have time to go in this place however it looks really impressive from outside. We stopped by to take some photos.
