“Atmospheric cafe with a good view......”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 December 2011

For a meal or just a coffee it had a good atmosphere with a great view across to Picton Harbour in the distance. Not cheap and the average main meal will cost $25NDZ and up depending on your tastes and appetite. Breakfast can also be on the pricey side and during the day there is a good selection of cafe items to have with your espresso.

Loved the home baked muffins, biscuits and sandwich selection that came with the great coffee here. It is a busy place all day long and can get crowded any night. In fact it is one of few dining options open later into the evening.

We sat outside even though it was on the cool side, as inside can get a bit noisy.
You will have to fight the smokers though as we didn't see any 'no smoking' signs.Although there are hundreds of tourists here like us, the locals seem to know one another and eat here too.

Enjoy your visit!

We had lunch here. This place had a good vibe, ideal position overlooking the Sound and a good choice of tasty food.

“Coffee on the waterfront”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 December 2011

Cool little cafe on the waterfront, overlooking the foreshore and marina. They really support live music here - most weekends there are bands or solo artists playing, and even during the afternoons throughout the summer. A great spot for a coffee or a meal!

“Dinner and live music = great time.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 November 2011

We went to Le Cafe for dinner - a popular spot on the waterfront in Picton. The food was delicious - we had salad, lamb and warehua (fish) - all well presented and reasonably priced. Afterwards, we went into the entertainment section of the restaurant and watched Ralph Bennett Eades play the Blues on his old guitar. It was a great evening - the only surprise being how few people came through to enjoy the music. Friendly staff and a good atmosphere.
