Picton small town, good for hackers, boaters, fisherpersons, and quiet folks. Sure the cruise ships come and the town livens up, but mostly its for just us.

It was interesting to learn about the history of this ship and to see it and actually walk on and in it. Worth the effort and a bit of fun.

The 'Edwin Fox' Maritime Museum is a great place to visit. The remains of an original convict ship are fascinating to walk through, and the Info Centre has interesting displays. Youngsters are also catered for. Only a couple of hundred metres from the ferry terminal, and nearby cafes.

It was great to see the Edwin Fox some years after our last visit. Its amazing to be able to stand in the hull and see a deck representing what it was like to live and work on this ship. Wel done all the people involved in this. Other exhibits are also most interesting.

We actually went to Picton purely to do this attraction after seeing it on the BBC series Coast. Was blown away by how professional the displays were. Everything is extremely well thought out. We began with a DVD of the history, kids were not interested but happy to play in the well appointed play area. Next was the ship. Amazing!!! Kids were able to touch and interact with the ship including the dry dock. Well worth the visit.
