We ate at Ma Maison on the last night of a three week stay in NZ.We should have been staying for four weeks but had to return sooner because of a family bearevement.
We wanted somewhere near our motel offering good food in a pleasant setting.This place ticked all the boxes.
We had an outside table which was most welcome on this hot evening.
We shared a game croquet for starters then my husband had Akaroa salmon on risotto and I had blue cod with puree potatoes.Wine was a sauvignon blanc.Unusually for us,we decided to indulge in dessert.He had creme brulee and I had raspberry sorbet.
We finished with coffee and malt whiskeys.
We thoroughly enjoyed our evening here.The food was very good and the setting by the water just perfect.
