“Quaint culinary delight”

Overlooking the lake, the setting was small but comfortable. The laid back atmosphere made for a relaxing dining experience, especially after a long day travelling. The food was tasty and well priced. Thank you Emma and to the rest of the team for a lovely meal.

“A delight”
Reviewed 18 January 2012

Akaroa has a very French influence which is epitomised by this cosy no frills restaurant. Seating is limited ,tables are close together but the general ambiance is wonderful. The food is all fresh daily and locally sourced. Rightly regarded by many locals as the place to dine, it offers value for money meals. The limited staff are really keen to please and service is smooth. Booking ahead is almost essential but well worth it.

“Very good food!”
Reviewed 17 January 2012

We liked the food here very much. The restaurant is small, but quite cozy. We loved the innovative way the food was prepared. The lamb was excellent. There was no kids' menu, but they did accommodate our boys with some nice grilled chicken.

“Yummy food and good service”
Reviewed 17 January 2012

We had dinner there and everything was fine. Really delicious food and nicely prepared dishes. Good value for money! Very nice service, always with a smile :-)
We enjoyed it and would recommend it to others. It pays to book in advance as it is a cozy little place that might be booked out.

Organic and good food. Very nice bread and good meat. NZ food and wine mixed with French cuisine. Good value.
