Well I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant at all - it’s just a big barn with indifferent staff and average meals. It’s a mix of different food styles, none of it done very well. Fish and chips was dry, pasta was tasteless, the tartare sauce was congealed and inedible - we ate fir about $45 a head with a few beers but I don’t know why people go there really.

Had a wonderful lunch out by the beach.
The service was professional and we were offered a range of daily specials.
Cool drinks joined us as we made our choices.
We both opted for seafood (by the beach.....hiw could we not?) and we weren't disappointed.
The daily special of swordfish with an octopus, chorizo and potato salad was the bomb.....
Pan fried, crispy skin Barra on risotto was equally as good.
Charlotte was keeping the cool drinks up and was a most pleasant waitress.
All in all a really good experience.
Thursday so wasn't overly busy.

Enjoy

Our first visit to Fremantle coincided with the Easter Weekend Street Arts Festival, there was plenty going on for all ages, the atmosphere in the city was great.

We ended up at Bathers Beach House which is in a great location, we sat on the loungers on the beach and were served by Charlotte several times throughout the day. Despite being very busy she had time to speak to all customers and was very attentive, cheerful and friendly.

We would definitely recommend Bathers Beach House to anyone visiting Fremantle and will definitely pay a return visit when next in Perth.

My wife and I went to Bathers Beach House for lunch on Easter Monday with two friends. Glad we got there at 1.30pm. It was full and really hopping. Luckily got a table within 30 sec. staff were quick to clean it up. We had menus and drinks in 5-6 minutes. Try the spicy chicken wings for an entree along with the sourdough with pesto, balsamic and hummus. Also the Jerk Prawns and Rocket Salad is another winner. Our waiter suggested the entree sized mussels as a main. He was right. Perfectly plump mussels, creamy and spicy sauce and more than enough as a main- all for $20. Great choice!

Ignored for a good 5 minutes whilst ‘waiting to be seated’. Restaurant wasn’t busy so totally baffling as to why?

French Waitress had zero understanding of the beer menu and could not tell us anything about the different beers on offer but merely said the peroni was a lager.

I think something was lost in translation as we were asking if any of the beers were local - never mind Perhaps a change of vocation is needed here as customer service has obviously bypassed her.

We were then ignored for a further length of time and then another waiter (obviously recognising we had nearly finished our drinks) came over & the food order eventually taken. Food was tasty and plentiful so no complaints there.

Empty dishes left on table and only when we asked for the bill a third time were the dishes cleared and the bill presented. Had the service been better we would have ordered a dessert.

Not told that we needed to take the aforementioned bill to the cash desk by the waitress, we sat waiting to pay for 10 minutes.

First and last time in BBH!
