This ‘cave’ was named after a healer who used its spring waters as a cure. You really can’t go very far into the cave, but seeing all the graffiti carvings into the sandstone. Now that the cave is in the Nat’l Park, no one is permitted to carve anything in the cave.

You have to do a lot of stairs to get there, and it looks promising from far away, but it’s literally just a 10 meter hole in a rock. You do get some fresh water straight from the source so that’s nice.

This cave is associated with a cute folklore story. But aside from that the cave is interesting, covered with intricate very old carved graffiti. It is located opposite the visitors centre

Along my walk from Krimulda to Turaida castle, I past this cave, probably as well known for the associated love legend, as for the actual cave. The cave, or at least the part that one can see, is not particularly large or impressive. However, what makes the cave special is the many different carvings that cover the cave walls. Nearby on can by refreshments, although the stalls close rather early.

It is a lovely cave. You can taste the water and look at the 19th and early 20th century graffiti. That;s about it.
