I stayed in the hotel for a business conference with a small team of 8 people.

I stayed in room 9. The room was generally OK. BUT it was not maintained properly. In detail it had run down furniture, shower facets were not shiny new. TV channels had a very bad picture quality (I guess antenna setup/connection). This is clearly not what to expect for a 4 stars boutique hotel.

In the whole hotel - the water had a unpleasant smell. Many times with the smell of sewage. Don’t know if it is maybe a general Jurmala problem but the hotel should’ve taken care of this with some filters.

In general the facilities are run down and not maintained properly. Swimming pool and gym you can see it not being maintained properly and notice details which gives a negative impression. Weight lifting equipment is very old.

You also get a negative impression of the small things which are important for your hotel experience. They take a 1.5 EUR extra charge if you would like to have another towel for the swimming pool. Why in heaven's sake not include this in the room rate from the beginning? When you return to breakfast after you left once and want another coffee they charge you extra for that. Feels like the management has put in rules for their personnel that destroys your impression of your stay. So I hope the hotel management will read this and improve their ways.

The conference room was very depressing. Felt like sitting in a basement somewhere. And to reach it as well as the restaurant you needed to go through a depressing bowling alley to reach it. Toilets by the conference room and bowling alley were run down as well.

First time in Ambersprings spa hotel . The entrance to the hotel just a very short walk from Gorey itself and the railway station and just a short drive in off the motorway is very welcoming with its very well maintained gardens and plenty of parking. The hotel has a very plush modern exteriorand the interior matches this . The hotel was spotless and the facilities first class . Thr area for the wedding itself was fantastic with a white wooden gazebo set on top of sweeping stone steps and surrounding garden .The food at the wedding was beautiful and served hot by a very efficient staff . They made the entrance of the wedding couple into the dining area into a little show with staff carrying steel colander covered plates .....nice touch . The bar staff looked after everybody and everything without any fuss .
There seems to be a lot of thought put in to families also with areas for children to play and also extra entertainment put on for guests with a show of bird's of prey which was very very informative and entertaining for adults and children alike . The biggest plus of the hotel is the STAFF who make you feel so welcome . Would I come back to the Ambersprings.....in a heartbeat. Ps the bridal suite is 10/10

Very small safe in room (not possible to lock a computer), rooms in first floor are ground level, good breakfast, very friendly and attentive service during the breakfast in restaurant. Pool not luxury and a bit old dated, but water in super nice temperature and without smell of treatment - so you can really enjoy swimming. Very easy go to the beech.

Room tip: rooms in first floor are ground level

Very good hotel: location, cleanness, courteous, helpful and well-trained staff - everything was great! Breakfast - varied, tasty and fresh. The hotel has a fitness center, bowling alley, swimming pool and SPA, as well as a very good restaurant "My life". In short - highly recommended.
