Visited earlier in the month. There is a lift to the top floor for 2.50 euros. The views are spectacular over Kaunas. The church itself is very modest and white.

A couple of days in Kaunas the church from far away looked impressive - high above the city, large and white. When we decided to take a closer look, we went on foot uphill from Kaunas birthing centre. Having our little son in stroller the hike was terrible - the pavement is very damaged. It took me and my husband a lot of strenght to get to the church. Close up it's not that impressive - really resembles a factory, too plain fot our taste. A disappointment after the tough hike

To modern for church and too simple. Just a very big white box. Also why do they take money for using an elevator?

The building of this church began in 1932 but wasn't finished and returned to the religious community properly until 1989 and consecrated in 2004. It's one of the strangest churches we have ever visited as it's very stark compared to most Catholic churches. There is a small fee to access the lift to the terrace but well worth it as the views from there are fantastic.

Striking, modern architectural design, this church is starkly beautiful, both inside and out. It won't to be to everyone's taste, but it is welcome alternative to some of the over-the-top baroque/rococo that is the norm in Lithuania. Well worth the hike from the center of town to see it.

Different from any church I’ve visited. Very white and minimalist with nice lines and you can get som nice photos here. Don’t forget the terrace for more great views of the building itself.

I saw this church from the walking straight and decided to go for a run and look stunning on the hill I was able to get inside and it was quite past year quite modern and not really as interesting as I’d hoped there is a good viewpoint from the steeple or the tower if you can get up it was closed when I was there

Located on a hill, provides beautiful view over the city. Interesting and impressive building, especially illuminated at night.

The church has a very interesting history! And it is definately a must-see, when coming to Kaunas. It was lovely to take a funicular up the hill to the church, and the view from the roof was really worth the small admission fee.

Be warned, it's a bit of a trek uphill to get there. It's worth it in my opinion. On days you can go to the top of the tower there's the best view over Kaunas. The building itself was used as a radio factory during the Soviet occupation until the end of the 1980s. Inside is light, airy, and beautifully clam and peaceful. Well worth a visit.
