Owner description: An extensive collection of Margit Kovacs' ceramic works featuring a unique synthesis of folk and Byzantine motifs.

This is one of the many small, and mostly private, museums in the small town of Szentendre. Some of these museums were closed when I visited, not sure how permanently. This one was open, and I was the only visitor there. The museum showcases in a nearly chronological order her work, thereby sampling all her work and giving a good overview. One isn´t allowed to take pictures inside.

Wonderful ceramics from an excellent artist. The collection is not too big, but you can have an idea, what Margit Kovács did. The sculptures are beautiful.

Really enjoyed going through this out-of-the-way museum! This woman was incredible; her ceramic art really makes you think and feel. I like her earlier work best.

Visited when the a tour group. This is a private museum created in Memory of a famous Hungarian artist, Margrit Kovacs. She did sculpture inspired by mother’s and children, religion and life. The museum is on 3 floors. It doesn’t take long to see all the exhibits.

I love ceramic art - and Margit Kovacs work is fascinating - she worked over so many years and was such a pineer. I enjoyed the pure beauty of some pieces, the uniqueness of others. I was accompanied by someone who is less interested in art and museums than I and this person found it well worthwhile.
