The description of the Museum says that there are 20.000 objects from a range of Asian Countries to be seen. Reality in May 2015: Two tiny rooms with a temporary exhibition of some Hungarian travelling to India. That was not what we expected at all. Advise: Before you go there: check what Exhibition they have. There is no permanent Exhibition.

It should be a museum of oriental art, but it's almost empty. They are restoring the outside so you can't even go there. We went just because we had the Budapest Card so it was free, but really in 10 minutes we were outside.

We received a discount at the entrance, and the museum was still not worth the little money that we paid. It has two small rooms with some theater puppets. The other part consisted of an artist's works, which I really didn't get and mostly didn't understand why they are in a museum.
Overall, it was a waste of time and I would not recommend this museum to anyone.

This is a museum that is meant to house the Japanese and Ottoman collections. I was told when I came in that this was correct. I paid, went in. Apart from three indonesian puppets in one small room, nothing else. I came back down and highlighted my displeasure, the curator smiled. When I gave two thumbs down she smiled again. Absolutely pathetic. Avoid as if the location is an Ebola research centre.
