The Buda side is very nice and from this view point you can see much of Pest and you are right at St. Mathias church - be sure to see that and the interior also. There are very good Hungarian eating places nearby and some even have Hungarian music. You will find lots of shopping also and visit the Museum at the far end from this place - all within walking distance. This is also good for school age children but is accessible with strollers also.

Fisherman's bastion is a natural visitor attraction overlooking the banks of the Danube.
The views are to die for, and we had the benefit of clear sunny skies which showed off the blue of the river.
The site offers some other interesting features, plus shops eateries as well as some historical sites.

We took the Castle Bus tour up to Buda Castle and then onward to Fisherman’s Bastion and Mattias Church. The views across the Danube are absolutely spectacular up here. Great views of Parliament across the way as well.

I was wondering around the streets and suddenly I was like in a different small town with small houses and quiet streets. And out of the blue there is this magnificent church and the violin is playing on the background. Behind that church was really interesting Fisherman's Bastion with fantastic panoramic view on the river and city. Totally worth it.
