Owner description: Lovingly restored after being reduced to rubble during World War II, this picturesque area is located in the heart of medieval Budapest, which is characterized by cobblestone streets, narrow alleys and lovely squares surrounded by baroque and classical buildings.

“A must see”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 March 2012

This is a must see when you are in Buda. We did this on the walking tour and on the bus tour if you are not fit I would suggest the bus tour only.

“Nice for a walk”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 March 2012

Good place to go if you're interested in museums, then you can spend literally hours on Varhegy. You can either take the Sziklo up, or just walk by yourself, it isn't that steep. I'd really recommend wearing trainers or flats though, as the cobbled walks are not the most comfortable thing to walk on.

“Very beautiful, with nice view over the town.”

Perfect place for having coffee with a girlfriend in the evening. You can take a ride in Funikular - somehow similar to one you have in Hong Kong on Victoria Hill.
