We we're on a trip to Budapest and our 18th anniversary fell in the middle of the trip. We left the kids at the apartment (they are old enough, don't worry) and went out for a nice dinner. Living in Europe as an American it can be a challenge to find a good steak restaurant. There were plenty to choose from in Budapest, but we had been burned in the past. We took a chance on Beef Heaven. I cannot say enough good about this place! The service was great, the food, while not what you would find in an American steak house, was amazing and the setting was nice. I would absolutely visit again or recommend anyone visit. For the Americans who might read this, it is not a standard "steak and potatoes" place. I still advise you to try it. The goulash soup was tasty and I had the pork belly. The wife had the sirloin. The pork belly was served with pickles, sausages and a savory gravy. Both were perfect and I wouldn't ask them to change a thing.
