Beautiful hotel with nice, comfortable and functional rooms. Great ocean view. And the best of all - the staff is extremly friendly and helpful. Beautiful and rich breakfast buffet. An easy going but still beautiful place.

Dear GoldieSmith,

thank you for your kind review which you've shared with other travellers!

We are happy to hear, that you've enjoyed our breakfast, which is for sure the most important meal of the day, especially, if you can indulge it just a few metres from the Adriatic sea. Our young team is very eager to provide the best possible level of service, since it is very important for us, that our guests are comfortable and care free.

It has been our pleasure hosting you - and all the best until the next time!

I traveled alone to Slovenia and stayed in Hotel Piran for two nights. As a solo traveler who likes to disconnect in a quiet place, this place were perfect for my stay. On the last day of my trip, the weather was sunny and cool, making it super hard to leave! I opted for a room with a balcony which was really relaxing. I left my door open to fall asleep to the waves crashing at night. During my down time I was able to sit in the beach chair on the balcony and look out at the sunset. I went at the beginning of March so it was still a little cold, but I just wrapped myself in one of the blankets and it was perfect with a bottle of wine by my side! The view is adorable. Piran is a tiny city, so you can explore the entire thing in half a day (at least in my experience). Hotel Piran is nearby a strip of restaurants along the water - I recommend trying Restaurant Ribic Baja, as the owner is a fisherman who fishes in the morning with his doge and brings the fresh catch for the day back to the restaurant. When you first walk in, they present the catch for the day on a dish and let you select that you'd like them to cook for your meal. But ANYWAY, back to the hotel . . I was able to unplug in their aromatherapy boutique and sauna for a day which was great for my purposes but not for those who are looking for a more popular, lively experience. I just wanted to disconnect! I didn't like that they charged 9 euros to use it for a day, as all it is is a bunch of chairs lined up in a really pretty room. There is a steam room with a shower but I've been to other hotels where, if they do charge you, they have MANY saunas/steam rooms/options for you to pick from and this hotel did not have that. The second thing that kind of sucked was that Piran is so small there is no hotel parking, so you actually park a 2 minute's drive away from the hotel and they shuttle you in. Since the shuttle service is so punctual and convenient, this wasn't an issue for me but can be slightly annoying for someone else. Regardless, it was really nice to stay at and the staff was incredibly friendly. The breakfast included with the room was delicious! Probably just saying that because they had salmon with arugula in the morning . . but anyway, a pleasure nonetheless, :).

Room Tip: Pick a room with a balcony!

Dear cindycow,

thank you very much for your kind review, that you've shared with other travellers, who will for sure find it very useful.

As you've mentioned, Piran is a city with a historical city centre, which we try to preserve as much as possible, therefore we organise a shuttle for our guests and a discounted parking fee in order the make the arrival itself smooth and uncomplicated.

It is very easy to imagine the picture that you've described; enjoying the sunset from your private balcony, just before feeling asleep while listening to the waves crushing at the shore, no matter the time of the year. Our Aromatherapy Boutique is for sure ideal for "disconnection" from the stress, since the aerosols in the steam bath have a positive impact to the body and soul.

It is great to know that you've enjoyed the breakfast just next to the Adriatic sea and we will definitely to our best to keep up with the good service.

We thank you again for your kind and constructive comments and we hope that we will be able to welcome you in Hotel Piran soon again!

Best,

The hotel was very good, with nice and spacious rooms and a very varied and tasty breakfast! The hotel staff is really friendly and helpful. The only bad thing is the room's poor quality sound insulation, which may disturb the guests with the noise from the street or from the hotel corridors.

Room Tip: Best rooms have view to the sea!

Hotel Piran is a charming building in the very center of Piran, just couple of meters from the sea. The room was spotless and very comfortable. The communication with the reception desk was really quick and easy. All the staff were highly professional and kind, and went out of their way to make our stay even better. Thanks to them, it felt we were home – only with the sea view from our room window!
