We have been going to the World Cup event for the last three years.
Avoid Sections up the hill, such as A unless you are fit and wrapped up warmly. It is a hike up through the woods on a very slippy/icy path.
Get there early, and get a place 2 hours before the competition, get in the front of any standing section ( especially if you are with kids)or you will miss a lot of the action because of all the banners that people bring will obscure your view. When leaving after the competition, the crush is awful be prepared for the exit to take 1/2 hour. Once inside it's either impossible or very difficult ( depending on your section) to get a warm drink or a beer to fight off the evening chill. Make sure to reserve a restaurant after the event at least 5 days in advance.More
