We visits in summer and there wasn't much to see. Whilst winter might be a better experience with snow, the attraction is a let down in that they've made no effort to elaborate on the sport or have information celebrating its previous and current world championships. Given Poland leads the sport and has a proud history in it, I expected more in that regard. Compared to the jump at Nagano, Japan, I think more could be done to enhance the experience.

Not much to review other than the view was amazing and I have new found respect for ski jumpers. It was worth the walk to the top, even though our calves hurt for a day or two.

We attended and where charged an admission which the sign in English stated included the chair lift

There was an event on and it turned out the chair lift was for the event only

When I asked why it was closed the rude woman on the ticket office pointed to a sign in polish saying there's an completion on so no access

When I asked why the English sign was still up she got annoyed and started shouting on polish

Feel very let down and ripped off

Wielka Krokiew is an iconic Zakopane sight, and you don't have to visit it in winter to appreciate it. I have enclosed a photo of Pilsudskiego Street, a beautiful wide street leading to the Krokiew. A lovely walk.

Wielka Krokiew is the biggest and most famous ski jumping hill in Poland. Stage to many international competitions, especially at the end of january each year, when FIS World Cup tournament takes place in Zakopane. Every time we are in Zakopane we got that impression, that Wielka Krokiew is undergoing refurbishement, there's always some construction work going on. In august 2016 we were walkin on black trail called Droga Pod Reglami, which passes by the entrance to the jumping hill (or hills, as there's about four of them alltogether). And we found out that Krokiew can be visited whole year round (appart from competitions). Didn't go visiting this time, but we learned, that after purchasing a ticket you can go nearly to the top of the ski jumping hill by the chair lift, and you can enjoy a large panorama from there. Definitelly will try it next time.
