Wisniowy Sad is another restaurant in Krakow that can be easily missed as it is down an alley way between 2 other premises. It is only a couple of minutes walk from the market square in the old town and like other similar restaurants we visited it is 'rustic' with a homely feel. It is quite small and might get very busy at times but it was fairly quiet when we were there on a Thursday night. The service and food were excellent and very reasonably priced.

We were looking for a lunch spot before tackling Wawel and were looking for something that was reasonably priced. We passed a number of establishments walking down from Wawel that were a little more pricey before we stumbled upon Wisniowy Sad.

Not a big establishment but on a warm day it had a nice courtyard away from the noise of the road. Pricing was much more reasonable than the other restaurants but the service was friendly and efficient. Tends towards Central and East European cuisine, well prepared and served in good time. I had Bigos and Cherry Pierogi, my wife had a Beef stroganoff and a very nice honey cake.

A nice oasis away from the bustle to recharge our batteries.

Found this lovely place by chance. It was raining and we were hungry so stopped to read the menu. Off the main Square down an alley. Walking in was like going into grandmas living room. The waitress was helpful and spoke good English. The food was very tasty and we would definitely go back again. Great value for money too.

Perfect and not crowdy place to try russian cousine. Especially soups were very tasty, we also tred different types of dumplings and those were just fine. Everything is home made, stuff is very friendly and kind. I really recommend it.

Not on the Main Street but Well worth a visit ..good wholesome food that is genuine and not expensive at all .. the chicken ragout is really recommended as is the bisos .. and crepes with dark chocolate or the honey cake .. let’s just say we shared and it was a struggle to decide who got the best deal .. recommended
