This was simply the nicest place we have ever stayed in! Very stylishly decorated with excellent retro details and very airy and functional (wooden floors, french windows) with fabulous view of castle from the comfortable bed. Perfectly located between Jewish quarter and Old Town on a quiet road with green spaces and nice bars on the doorstep. We three had a brilliant time. The flat was amazingly good value and the host was immensely helpful in all ways.
Superb stay at this apartment on Boguslawskiego Street Krakow. Very clean and everything you would need. Excellent view of the castle. Situated in the middle of main square and Jewish quarter maximum 10 minutes walk. There are 103 steps to the apartment so it is a good workout but well worth the view! Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it! Food and drinks cheap in Krakow. Vodka very nice.. especially the honey flavour! Lovely places to visit too.
I am so glad I booked to stay in this apartment for my short break in Krakow. I received a prompt confirmation of my booking and comprehensive arrival instructions from Greg Stevenson.
The location of the apartment was perfect, situated in between the old town and the Jewish quarter (Kazimierz), at most a 10 minute walk in either direction. The train station is about a 15 -20 minute walk. The apartment is on a quiet tree lined road with a supermarket just 5 minutes walk away. The walk to the old town takes you through a pleasant park and appeared very safe at night.
The apartment itself is on the 4th floor and there is no lift. As recommended by Greg, I would take a backpack if you have one rather then a suitcase, the walk up the stairs was no problem for me. Once inside the apartment there is a light and airy modern and fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. There skylight windows make both rooms very light. Everything you would want from the kitchen is provided, for cooking and eating, nothing missing. The bathroom has a shower only and has good light form the skylight windows.
The lounge and bedroom is partioned off but not completely separate. The bed was very comfortable, plenty of storage, nice dining room table and chairs and most importantly a great view from to the castle, being on the 4th floor the view was lovely whilst looking out which you could even see whilst laying in bed!
Overall, you could tell the apartment was not just a rental, great care has been taken in there high specification of there fixtures and fittings and I love the funky decor!
Wifi worked well, and heating/hot water was good. Only slight negative would be there was no TV. However, this would not detract me from returning in the future which I hope to do. Thanks Greg, you have a great place, spot on, and I really enjoyed my stay.
The photographs on Tripadvisor don't do it any justice. The apartment is beautifully designed, with seemingly minimal effort. Modern 1950s style but new and fully functioning, as if we were the ones travelling back in time. Comfortable, warm, with everything you need. A real, fully functioning work of art. The views of the old town out the windows were even bigger, clearer than we expected. And everything was incredibly clean. We feel honoured to have stayed here.
Had a great time in Kraków using this apartment as a base for 5 nights.
Firstly do not underestimate the 4 flights of stairs, they'd be pretty tough if you're not too fit!!
Perfect location between old town and the Jewish quarter, about a 10 minute walk either way.
Comfortable bed and well equipped kitchen.
There isn't a wardrobe but there are hooks at the entrance if you need to hang something. There's plenty of drawers.
We were very lucky with the weather which was great but the apartment gets quite hot being on the top floor even with the windows open. It would be nice to have an electric fan for night time in summer but I'm sure in winter it would be lovely and cosy (especially after sweating up those stairs!).
There is one hand towel and one bath towel provided each. Definitely felt there is enough space for a couple but 4 might be a bit cramped for a longer stay like ours.
The view of the castle is lovely day and night too!
